I want to know more about treatment methods regarding drug and alcohol abuse. I figured it would be good to ask around at different treatment centers. Problem is, I don’t know how to find them.

I’m doing a research paper regarding people with dual diagnosis– specifically those whose substance abuse addiction happens to be alcohol. I’m thinking of interviewing patients as well as their counselors, hence the search for rehabs.

There are a group of symptoms that may occur when a person suddenly stops drinking alcohol. These symptoms may take place after either chronic or prolonged ingestion of alcohol. Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse

Alcohol is the most commonly abused substance in the U.S.  In a recent survey 60% of Americans reported drinking alcohol at least once in the past year.  Obviously not all who drink are suffering from alcoholism, but 20% of the population reports having five or more drinks in a day at least once last year.

This suggests that the potential for alcohol abuse is very high and is reflected in the number of deaths attributed to alcohol abuse.
