I usually drink twice a week. However, around a month and a half ago, I began drinking three times a week (spaced out, not three days in a row). I’m not sure how exactly it started, but I’m cutting back to twice a week if not once a week. I normally drink four or fewer units of alcohol each time when I drink.
Is this enough alcohol to make me experience withdrawal symptoms? As I said earlier, I space my drinking out, so I don’t normally drink one day after the next.

Do I have access to the police reports? would I be able to review my taped statements or transcripts? why is it that seems victims look like spectators only, – do we have rights to know what will happen next? what if I want to go back to my partner later on, that is, if he cleans his act and be clean of alcohol? Are there alternatives? I am so confused. It is hard loving a person like this, on the other hand, I cannot imagine myself anymore living in that depressing atmosphere of coming home to a drunk and often times passing out on the floor. What can I do to help him?
I am so physically and emotionally drained having to take care of an alcoholic and I cannot do it alone. I feel like a 100 years old already. Yet, I feel guilty leaving like this..is there a cure? My relatives keep telling me I did the right thing of pressing charges so the judge might send him to alcohol rehab and anger management if ever. I really really do not want him to go to jail.

In the above question, an individual had asked why feminists oppose government health care dollars for treating a birth defect like homosexuality but support government health care dollars for treating a birth defect like cleft lip.
The questioner was barraged by accusations of being a bigot. The questioner may or may not have been a bigot; I don’t know. What I do know is that civility and reason go a lot further in discussions than accusations and censorship.
