My doctor just prescribed Naltrexone for me in attempt to treat my sexual addiction problem. Does anyone know about how successful this medication works for the treatment of sexual addictions? The drug is really used for Alcohol abuse treatment and people addicted to Heroion.
I checked the net but could not find anything that mentioned specifically of its use to treat sexual addictions.

First, excessive amounts of fat accumulate in the liver, a result of alcohol’s effect on the body’s ability to digest fats properly. Next, the alcoholic may develop hepatitis, a condition in which liver cells become inflamed and may die. The final, usually fatal, stage of alcoholic liver damage is cirrhosis of the liver, a disease characterized by inflammation, hardening, and scarring of the liver This prevents the normal passage of blood through the liver, inhibiting the organ’s ability to filter out toxins and foreign substances.

A 79 year-old friend of mine recently fell and broke her hip.
She had three times the legal blood-alcohol limit at the time
and was known to drink regularly.
After surgery to fix the broken hip, she went into DTs. The
physical shakes and tremors lasted about three days and
she was treated with Adivan and Trazadone. She was moved
to the physical therapy unit.
The problem is she can seem very clear-headed but every
now and then she thinks she’s at home instead of at the
hospital. Or she might say that someone was looking in the
window last night or making a lot of noise in the backyard.
The nurses say it could be the drugs and pain medicine that
are making her confused. Adivan was stopped two days ago
but she still gets Trazedone at night and possibly Percocet
as needed for pain.
Before all this you could tell if she had been drinking but she
never was confused about where she was or thought someone
was at the window, etc.
It has been 2 weeks since surgery.

The most important key to avoiding a setback is to get away and stay away from old friends that drank or got high with you. If you find yourself in an environment where your former vices are being passed around, leave immediately and never return. Another on this list involves cutting ties with a spouse or significant other who drinks or uses drugs. It is painful but important.
